MODERATE 3 HOUR HIKE TO THE BEACON AND BACK

This is a moderate hike and needs some fitness to complete as there is a steep climb up to the beacon. The view from the top at the beacon is absolutely stunning. On a clear day you can see across False Bay to the other side where Simonstown/FishHoek lie. You can walk a circular loop as there are two trails leading to the beacon.

2. BETTY'S BAY - LEOPARDS KLOOF

MODERATE TO EASY 1 HOUR HIKE

This is a lovely hike which starts in the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. You pay a R50 key deposit as they do try and control the number of people who enter the trail. In summer months you can look out for the Red Disa's which are in bloom. There are ladders to climb in the steeper sections and you end at the base of the waterfall. It is cool here because of the trees in the kloof making it a wonderful adventure for the whole family!

3. KLEINMOND - 3 SISTERS

DIFFICULT 4.5 HOUR HIKE TO THE BEACON AND BACK

This is a difficult hike. You start at either the Kleinmond Golf Course or 4th Street. Make your way up to the contour path and follow the signs for 3 Sisters. You need sturdy hiking shoes as it is especially slippery on the ascent. Once you have reached the beacon you exit down the back of the 3rd Sister, onto the contour path and follow this back around the base of the mountain. Stunning views all around!
